The picture below shows me downloading the OSX version. There will be no feedback until it finishes (or when something wrong happens) I had to type letter by letter, the copy and paste for some reason didn't worked for me! Open your browser, then type on the URL: "steam://nav/console" (you must have the Steam Client installed and be logged with a valid account): I can install Codename Gordon just fine but I cannot install the KSP demo for some reason.
